This exclusive Gastronomy Club event offers a wonderful opportunity to combine visits and tastings at an award winning cheese maker and an organic vineyard located in the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding beauty. These fully involved experiences are a real treat for gastronomes, as they offer a chance to learn about the cheese and wine making processes used in making these traditional, artisan products. Sample a variety of cheeses and after the vineyard tour tasting some of the award-winning wines.

The Norbury Park Farm Cheese Company which produces the Norbury Blue, Dirty Vicar, and Dorking Cock cheeses, was named after its distinctive Norbury Blue cheese. Started in 2001, the family run business uses milk from a closed herd of Fresian cows and on this visit, you learn, and see first-hand, cheese making in the traditional way, with an opportunity of feeling the curds, spiking the cheese, and of course tasting the award winning cheeses!

The Albury Organic Vineyard, a small, boutique, family-run business founded in 2009 is Surrey’s only organic vineyard. Producing outstanding English wine from grapes grown in the Surrey Hills, it was originally best known for their Silent Pool Rosé, served on the Royal Barge to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012. Following the guided vineyard tour there are tastings of Albury’s still and sparkling wines that have won numerous international awards and local accolades.
